How the Program Functions

Florence School District One principals, guidance counselors and teachers will identify at-risk families that could benefit from SNAC.

FSD1 will give a SNAC “request for assistance” sheet to the families in need.

The families will go to the SNAC location office at 825 W. Evans St.

A needs assessment will be conducted by a SNAC volunteer counselor.

SNAC Board of Directors will quickly determine the family’s best means of assistance. A referral from FSD1 does not guarantee assistance.

Assistance includes bill pay to prevent homelessness, hotel vouchers for extended stay, and restaurant vouchers for dinner meals.

Each family situation will be different.

Limits will be set and records will be kept.

The SNAC Credit Program will allow for personal growth and enrichment through various local programs already established.
